Curating the news
Project Thunderdome: Establishing a digital content operations center.
“It’s not just about dinosaur bones.”
But an apt analogy for the curation of news is dinosaur bones … thousands of them lying around, waiting for someone to pick them up and assemble them into a skeleton that can be understood as one creature.
So it is with news, especially today when consumers are confronted with “a fire hose of information” when they only need a sip from a glass.
That water glass is what curation is all about — capturing the torrent and presenting it in palatable portions.
